KinoKlas Teen
CINEMA CLASS is a practical course for teenagers who want to understand how films are made and create their own. You don't need any previous experience here - we start from the basics and gradually go through the entire process of making a film. From the first idea and script, through direction, camera, acting, sound and editing, all the way to the finished film. And the film that you will create together with the other students in the class will have its premiere in front of hundreds of viewers in a large cinema.
Your teachers will be some of the most successful Bulgarian film professionals. In addition to regular classes, you will be able to participate in weekly screenings, monthly meetings with some of the most popular Bulgarian and European actors, directors, producers and screenwriters, as well as many other additional activities.
CINEMA CLASS is held once a week for 4 astronomical hours in two separate groups:
Saturday - from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00-19:00. In case there are not enough participants to have two groups, the class is only from 10:00 - 14:00.

! IMPORTANT ! - The KinoKlas team selects one student from each class for an annual scholarship. The scholarship recipient is educated completely free of charge within his/her class. The scholarship recipients are selected only after the final enrollment and admissions to the school.
The KinoClass Teen program consists of 5 main modules:
Module I. Introduction to Cinema – you will learn the basics of cinema as an art, while also learning important parts of the history of world cinema. Together we will lay the foundation for the class.
Module II. From the idea to the set – you will learn what dramaturgy and conflict are, as your teacher will be Simeon Ventsislavov - a screenwriter with more than 70 national and international awards for his films, who has worked on films such as "The Lessons of Blaga", "Aga", "Directions", "In a Circle", "Windless" and many others. You will write an original text and, together with the other participants in the class, you will create your own short feature film script.
In parallel, through a series of practical tasks and theoretical modules, you will become closely acquainted with each of the other components of film language - direction, cinematography, scenography, acting, sound, editing.
At the end of this module, once the class’s film script is complete, the main team roles will be assigned. Each student will indicate the role they wish to take on — camera operator, editor, set designer, and so on. You will have the opportunity to present your choice and explain what you hope to contribute to the film.
Module III. Preparation for filming – You will do your own casting, learn how to choose locations for filming, and generally how a film crew prepares for the beginning of the most fun part - filming the film.
Module IV. Filming process – With the help of the teachers and their assistants, you will shoot your first real short film. You will be on set and work with professional equipment to shoot your film.
Module V. Post-production - With the guidance of the editing and sound design instructors, you will be transported into the process where the film is truly born - in post-production. You will edit, sound, color, and bring out the best from the filmed material to touch the viewer.
KinoKlas Teen will end at the end of June, and later the film will have its official premiere in the large hall of the "House of Cinema".
